This is a delightful book, I thoroughly enjoyed the settings, the characters, and the adventure.Zylena, the main character is a young girl who can control the wind, she is young and naive, but during her search for her father, quickly grows into a charming young woman. As she travels to Trivolty with Kaneck, her element mate, there is an attempted kidnapping, her power is realized and she protects herself and her group.

Windswept War of the Elements edition by Yezall Strongheart Carol Wills Carolyn Scott Literature Fiction eBooks Reviews
This book is truly enchanting, as Zylena searches for hidden truths within her family. She becomes a girl able to control the elements. Yezall carries you along with Zylena is a breathtakingly beautiful adventure, so well written you do not want to put it down
Windswept is the very definition of romantic adventure writing hitting the high points of both genres.
While it's true that there is more to tell in this story... I only see that as a positive. This can be expanded - or perhaps serialized successfully.
Motivations and emotions don't always jibe with the actions (just like in life) but there is a truth to it all that is unmistakable and has been carefully captured and distilled for the reader to tease out.
It is a solid effort and a very good read and, hopefully, just the beginning of a long path of writing successes for the aptly named Ms. Strongheart.
More please?
This is a wonderful fantasy story set in a far away world, if you think romantic Arabian Nights and a young girl coming of age then you'll get the picture. Throw in some magic and you have the essence of a rollicking good tale.
The main character Zylena has been told she has a gift, but she doesn't realise just how complicated this will make her life. Swept from all she knows and loves by fate; she is selected by Kaneck another with the same gift. Not sure what to expect, she is told she can go with him to his home in the city of Tivolty.
Zylena knows her father returned to that very same place and her mother, Theola, decided to stay behind in her village. Determined to find the father she has never known she agrees to go with Kaneck. Once in the big city, her life takes many twists and turns. Which kept this reader's attention.
We don't get much up front information on this world or it's inhabitants, which is fine by me. I like the way Ms Strongheart weaves this into the story line as it progresses, I hate info dumps at the beginning of a book. The story line is well put together and characters are finely drawn.
All in all a good read with the added bonus of escape from reality, highly recommended.

Author of Five Minute Fiction
This is a nice fantasy read. The author painted a great background for her characters and I look forward to more from her.
A wonderful story that pulled me in and held me (although not at all against my will) until I read the very last page. Even after reading the last page on my , I hoped that with a single tap of the screen another page would appear and I'd enter further into Tivolty. I escaped with Zylena into a fantasy world that I felt as though I belonged to. The style of writing and engaging characters left me believing I had somehow visited Tivolty and become friends with Zylena. And, in the end, all I wanted (and still want) was another chapter!
